Good few bout Sligo, still big on old school bout us though. But leave the North and West everything has gone Jap. Was in wexford and they didn't know what I was driving.

I've only ever seen two original Irish Opel Calibra's, Veronica Gureen's and theres one on carzone at moment.

Ok. You guys got any problem driving a LHD? I had a RHD Mitsubishi Mx a few years ago and wasn1t the best exp. in my life.I couldnt change gears properly. Does anyone know a place where I can get parts for my Cally which are otherwise no longer available?I mean I have a 1996 turbo and my 4x4 ecu is gone(some jerk ripped it out long before i bought the car) and I cant get a new no matter where I try.

I drove LHD in states, was handy enough. Mostly V8 pick ups and vans, reversing was main problem kept lookking over my left shoulder still :D

Parts for Calibras are rare enough, best bet is try ebay or track down cars being breaked using Buy and Sell papers etc

I've never had a problem with LHD (despite being more used to RHD) - except in an emergency:  try approaching a hairpin bend too fast, in too high a gear, on a steep descent and instinctively trying to change down... with the door handle...  Aaaargh!  ;D ;D

The only other problem I have is when I come back to Blighty.  I don't usually have any trouble driving on the right, but when I get back to England after a couple of weeks driving on the continent, I find it more difficult adjusting back to driving on the left.

Hello all, am new to this site, I'm in Tipp and i'd be well up for a calibra meet, but my cally is going for paint shortly so i dont know how long it will take but it's a great idea especially as we're such an 'exclusive' club here in Ireland!!! Simon

i really should get pics of my own up! Tipp aint too far from myself...

i know of 2 callys scrapped round here if any1 is stuck for parts... 1 is a 95 plate, not sure of the colour buts its the bluey greeen colour, and the other is dark blue from memory, also a bit of a classic with a green vauxhall viva at the same scrapyard!!!
