Hello people. I'm led to believe brakes are useful and worth getting a pro to do (or at least help with, and certainly best in my case!)

First MOT my advisory was "Corroded brake pipes," last year was "Very corroded brake pipes" and this year was somewhere along the lines of "Fix your brake pipes C**TFACE!" so I've got some time with my mechanic friend and we're doing them.

I know I need brake lines (eBay) and a bendy, flange-making tool (eBay again) but I'm told I'll also need new ends to the pipes themselves. I've had a google, but not sure what to get.

Anyone know part numbers or have links? And is there anything else I'll need besides these ends, pipes and bendy flage-y tool?

Anyone know how many I'll need? I'm guessing 2 x 4 wheels = 8 ends but not sure. Planning on doing the LOT.

Rears go something like this

ABS unit -> Pipe under the car -> Rubber flex -> Pipe along trailing arm -> Yo momma -> Caliper

If you look at your ABS unit the brake pipes are flared, with a union that slides down to their ends and screws into the ABS unit.

Then before the trailing arms they have another screw-on union with a male thread (if I remember rightly) that screws into the female thread of the flexi (you should get braided lines here! Cheap and cool).

Then a male thread to go into the rear caliper. Maybe.

And yo momma loves being screwed at both ends by male parts!

Cheers rong! I got my mechanic friend to do the brakes in the end, as bits had seized here and there and the pipes were very very stuck into the ABS unit itself. Bought myself a nice Draper pipe flaring tool for the job, but cheers for that too!
