Excellent Job, I hope after that much effort that nothing flicks up from the road, and snags the cam belt though. It's a bit risky not putting the belt cover back on !!

I would but the cover was broken so I threw it away.
Still looking for another one.

Thats a good guide through the process, ive had to do all that this winter, gaskets had completely come apart. It was slightly daunting at first but it think the worst bit was setting the timing! Wish i had thought to remove the heads with the exhauast maifolds attached, the rear bank was a right pain to get behind!

Timing is a daunting but as long as all cams remain bang on their marks it's fine.
Yeah I didn't want to remove thae manifolds first as was to tricky to get to.

i have just damaged my heads.Bearing in the can belt tensioner failed.Cams on number 1 head (Bulkhead ) jumped 9 teeth.Am i right in presuming that heads can be removed with exhaust manifolds attached.
