Yeah first one, my plans are to get it through an mot and slowly improve things throughout the year. I may put a 30xe in and a f28 but not sure if i will just improve the c25xe.

Im looking for a bootlid with a spoiler as mine has a dent and the laquar is peeling like mad, and maybe front and rear splitter

What you doing with yours next?

My next plans are a few little bits are in the post like polished sill protectors and gas lifters for the bonnet but the next big mod is a cam belt and 3liter omega inlet cams (x30xe) then after that it's a full stainless exhaust and manifolds but that might be a while yet depending on funds.

I'm starting to think a 3liter conversion is a good idea as you can spend a lot tuning the 2.5 but there's no substitute for cc at the end of the day, there's a few lads on here with 3.0 v6 calibras.

I will do but im pretty sure it is.  You should put the cash your putting into the 25xe in to a 3.0 lump. i cant believe how easy it is to swap

I'm starting to think it would be an easier way of getting power but the problem is time really, my calibra is my daily drive so iv no other transport and I'm guessing an engine transplant would take me some time. I'd definatly advise it to someone who has the time and knowhow though, why not go the whole way and stick a 3.2 lump in? 8)

If you collect all the parts ready you could probably do it in a weekend or book the friday and monday off too.  Is there much difference in power between the 3.0 and 3.2.

Not sure on the power difference between the two, it can't be a lot though, I think 3.0 with a lightened flywheel and f28 gearbox is the way to go, that's what I'd do if I had the time and money.

Sounds about right.

Not sure if the 3.2 is harder to fit but the 3.0 is an easy swap so if the 3.2 is any hassle at all I'd sacrifice 7 bhp for a much easier transplant personally.

This was the advice I got:
3.2 is a better engine main advantage is it has a steel crankshaft which is lighter and stronger.
The vectra 3.2 is probably the best engine to carry out a conversion with for the following reasons:
it was the last engine built so has all the engine mods i.e latest hydraulic tappets, oil pump, block design, also has the metal sandwich type head gaskets fitted - these are the type they eventually fitted to the rover to solve the head gasket problems they had.
it was also the only v6 built that used fully synthetic oil
