If you have tried other stuff..go with the manual..they obviously have experience with problems associated with the installation of HID.

Hello, I'm currently installing a set of angel lights with fog lamps and would like some info from those who have experienced the install.

Firstly, my old headlamps also had a flickering effect with 8000k HID kit bought cheaply off ebay.. they were fine once warmed up and the ballasts used to whine up for a few seconds. Recently the passengers side ballast stopped whining and working altogether which prompted me to buy a better slim line ballast 8000k HID kit (shock, vibration, water proof) and the chrome angel eyes headlamp.  hope that helps if your experiencing flickering... sori but I'm pretty sure its the crappy ballasts.

My Aussie Cally didnt arrive here with fog lamps so I'm hoping someone could inform me that the wiring in the loom is the same as the UK models and all I have to do is hook up a new fuse in the fuse box and trace the wiring back under the dash.

Also these headlamps and the stock one never had the dipping motor and I was hopping someone could tell me if the connection to these motors are three pronged and have 2 brown and one yellow wires.

Old / stock headlamps with HID kit..

connection in question, at the bottom of pic...   headlamp dipping motor connection?

work in progression..

I race cars for sport because football, soccer, basketball, hoockey, cricket and golf only use one ball.

Flickering on HID's is usually a bad supply in the wiring. Check the wiring and make sure there is no resistance.

Glad this thread has been resurrected - travelling through the country lanes tonight was a night mare and that was with clean lenses - thought about investigating HID and there it was - all I needed to know in 'unread topics'.

Thanks JB for putting all the information together.

Guess I know what I'll be doing next weekend.

Having checked on ebay they are now about £70 a set - and if you want to do main beam and dip you require 2 sets. I think I'll just go for dip at the moment and see how it goes.

Type in H1 HID headlights. They are all universal as long as you use H1 for dipped like you want.
Then whatever size for the other ones as you need em, i think H1 for high and H5 for fog?

Make sure you get digital ballasts and preferably slimline ballasts too. A lot easier to fit and more reliable.

Can you fit HID's to the high beam though. I read that because HID's need that couple of seconds to warm up, you couldn't flash your lights at someone etc. I have seen Hi/Lo conversion kits on ebay though but your looking around £100
