The kit fitted well and light output is a breeze compared to the old style!

Quick additional question: when I fitted the HID kit I noticed the bracket that holds the light is quite a bit thicker than the classic halogen bulb, causing the metal clips to hold the bulb in place to be 'forced' outwards quite a bit.
I noticed while swapping the halogen lights back for the checkup they actually sat a bit loose now and as such the original lightbeam is messed up.

Is this due to the type of HID bulbs I have or is this normal?
Should I get an additional set of metal clips for the headlight unit?

Here's some pictures... the 'problem' lies with the thickness of the bracket that positions and holds the bulb in place I think.

Or just bend them back into shape. It's not ideal if you have to do it regularly. I was glad to see the back of my HIDs but then I only drive cliff in summer and given the long Nordic days, bright lights aren't key.

Have a small additional question... the angel eyes headlights have a beam that makes it go up the right end (to light up the side of the road). When fitting an HID kit, the part of the beam that goes up carries incredibly far oit compared to with a halogen bulb. When taking turns, that often blinds cars in the other direction.

I'm guessing that beam characteristic is very normal for halogen...

Did not test this with the standard headlights yet.

Any particular things I should do with the headlights to 'get rid of this'?
Just turning the headlight switch all the way down helps a little... but does defeat the purpose of installing an HID kit :-)

Attached is a picture of what the headlight beams look like close up to another car. This is using halogen bulbs in the angel eyes. At larger distances, the left and right cutoffs kind of come together to light up the side of the road. The lights have been set correctly by the dealer and passed MOT without issues.

Using an HID kit the cutoff looks exactly the same at both short and larger distance. The light from the cutoff just reaches much farther out and is as equally bright as in front, which is troublesome when taking corners.
Should I be turning them down further using HID? That kind of defeats the advantage of using it in the first place it feels...
