Good to hear. Obviously Tesco were never going to admit liability until they had chance to see all the evidence and circumstances. Any excuse to get of paying up will be used.

It was obvious to all that they should and hopefully would pay up. The evidence was quite substantial so I guess they had no choice in the end.

Still good to know they did the right thing without too much messing around  :)

Well we had the cheque through for the Calibra this morning so that's that done and dusted. Waiting on a phone call from a local repair centre who are to look at the Mazda for Tesco. The Girl with the red Ka has also been paid out and picks up her new Ka on Saturday so touch wood everything seems to be getting sorted. Relief

Not too bad I don't think. They offered a Grand for the car, less 24% to buy it back so we got the Calibra and a cheque for 760 quid, I'm happy with that

Sounds about right..when mine was written off in Feb..I was able to buy it back..get it repaired and had about enough left to have my Cambelt and waterpump done..so a bit of a result I suppose..apart from the anger/heartache and inconvenience!..hope yours is repairable and you ain't out of pocket at the end?

We have a few ideas in mind which we intended to do anyway eventually but it seems we will now be speeding up the process courtesy of Eastern European White Van Man. :o We'll start a new thread for 'Operation Phoenix' when we start. ;D
you were correctly parked.
That's not much consolation if some tosspot smashes his vehicle into yours!

Glad you got it resolved fairly quickly and can now start getting it repaired  :) Possible negative Karma on the way for not murdering the [email protected] that hit it in the first place (I recommend lots of fire).  ;)

Summer toy - Calibra SE8
Daily hack - Nova Merit
Mrs P's wheels - Vectra SRI CDTi Estate

Several gruesome ways have crossed my mind but I like my freedom too much to make it worth while. Good dream though!!

The Mazda went off today so I should know the story about that tomorrow.
