216 DTMs of which 160 were 16 valve, 34 were V6 and 22 were Turbos ..... 51 Turbo LE's? Thats what everyones thinks? However what was the numbering on them? LE 1-51 ??

Thankfully, No DTM's, LE's or SE's made it to Australia...

According to the DVLA no LE turbos were sold in the UK.

150 DTM turbo's were sold and only one SE was sold n was written off in the same year.

How many irmscher turbo special editions were sold, coz that's what I have. Even the boot lifts are irmscher.

Never heard of a 'Imrscher' SE tbh! DVLA wouldn't know their arse from elbow ;)

Only came to that conclusion, coz mine is two tone green/navy blue, with kit and the irmscher boot lifts. Lol

Here is a European one exactly same colour as mine, just they have added bonnet vents n M3 wing mirrors.

I had a two tone turbo ... Black and smoke grey with factory fit bodykit irmscher lifters and gear knob steering wheel ... It was never a special edition !! .... It was a regular turbo with all the irmscher extras as optional Evers .... I have signum that has irmscher everything 10.5k of options!!! If it says se then that's someone add on badge

There was 22 dtm turbos and 51 le turbos .... The whole point of this thread was the le turbo register has 52 on it (00-51) that's 52 ..... In fact the numbering ran from 00-50 ... (51) ...... Anyone ever seen or heard of le51? No thought not! ... There is a reason there was 51 and not an even 50 ... There is actually a history on how the le came about because it wasn't originally planned by vauxhall

And the differences between SE, LE and the regular 2.0 litre 16 valve are what exactly?

Apart from a badge on the ashtray, they are same as a regular. Unless someone can tell me different?

Now in my books, a kit, two tone colour and different lifters on only a few models make it a limited edition, rarer than the 1000's of models sold with a badge on the ashtray, which have standard everything.

I'm confused if the DVLA say there were none surely there were none, where are you getting your figures from other than this forum?

What's the difference between my turbo and an LE turbo other than the badge on the ashtray, the irmscher kit on mine and very rare colour on mine?

Suspension will be different LE to 'standard' LET or XEV. The black paint on LE's, ashtray plaques, and flashes were LE specific too iirc. Though the DTM's had flashes too.

There were 9 SE variants. I could list the specifics of all but I'd be here all night. Basically each SE from the SE1-SE9 had things such as paint, alloys, sunroof, engines etc to make them a SE.

The DTM's and LE's both had Irmscher suspension afaik.

Difference is I would say yours is a standard LET with the kit option added. LET's were in your colour and I can't think of its name for toffee! Hence paint code needed.

Yours will have standard suspension not Irmscher too afaik.

Prepared to be corrected mind you, lol!

Hey, what does it matter really, they are all great :)

Mine is a coscast C20LET but I think all were anyway, I got spax suspension now anyway, air conditioning and a sunroof which don't make sense.

As the title of the thread says, a can of worms was opened, a big one. Lol  :P

I have the press brochure and photos for the le .... The car they used for the photos is le27 which I wrote off in '99 .. Any calibra turbo or in fact calibra is a rarity now and personally I appreciate every nice one whether it's a dtm or le or any unmolested calibra .... I once saw a le I forget the number with the factory kit that Courtney had given a dose of ... It was badged as le?? Courtney se

Why does a LET having AC and a sunroof not make sense? Mine has AC and a sunroof as did many others.

Sunroofs were in all anyway apart from SE8 ( though I have seen some with a lid) and SE9 which definitely didn't have a lid.

It can be confusing admitted :)

No SE9's had a sunroof, quite a few however have no AC as it was an option in early model Calibras.

God sakes! Lol. It depends on age and option chosen as to whether it has AC or not. Sunroof AND AC is not rare.

Good point, I should have said two coat.

D'oh!

So anyway even though I don't have a badge on my ashtray saying limited edition, the colour and kit on their own made it a limited edition. As technically they are rarer (an even more limited number of editions) than an LE.

Cough, cough, gets coat. More worms coming out! :o
