Hi all,
After taking care of some bodywork, I'm starting to get my X20XEV ready engine-wise now too.
I had the engine run idle for quite a while. The engine temp rose all the way up to 100+°C (on the dash) and the fan still didn't kick in. Not yet in the red, but still running quite hot I think feeling under the hood, without any intervention from the cooling fan.
Took a closer look to the fan itself, seems to be running just fine. Then I took a look to the temp sensors on the radiator.
There's in fact two of them:
- temp sensor (aircon): running between 105°C - 95°C (GM
- temp sensor (regular?): running from 100/115°C to 105/120°C (GM 90376209, Ident WM)
Was a bit surprised of these temp readings... How should this technically work to trigger the cooling fan to keep the temps between 100°C-90°C as given on the dashboard? I have another GM sensor which could keep it 95-90°C... would that be OK to fit?
Sorry if it's a silly question, I'm scared of running it too hot and damaging the engine (X20XEV noob

).
Cheers
