Put a standard fuse in and just dont touch the mirrors LOL  ;D ;D

Do the plugs between the body and doors seem in good condition? just a thought...

I have a Haynes manual if you want some photos of wiring diagrams?

Standard fuse is back in and haven't touched the mirrors since - been like that for a couple of days now and it's fine, so just a bit of hunting around the mirror / mirror switch to sort it.

And cheers buddy, have one here but finding the time in the week is a bit of a challenge at the moment. Things should quieten down in a week or two but until then, no touching those mirrors!

The same problem I have. If the door is open the windows do not work. It does not matter whether the engine is on or off. The windows only operate with closed doors. I checked fuses 12 and 30 and they're working. When the door opens, the ceiling light comes on.
What can it be?
Thank you.

It is normal ( as long as they work when the door is closed ) , windows only work normally on most calibras when the door is closed

No. Mine work when door open.

No. Mine work when door open.

Strange, mine all never worked with doors open had about 20 different ones and none ever worked with engine off or on  and doors open  apart from 1 k reg 16v with the override button on the window switch and standard interior light the others have the bigger interior light that fades to turn off
( apart from i get one press only on all my turbo ones with door open only if engine off to close them up but once closed they stop working till ignition is on again )

When I bought the car, the windows worked with the door closed or open. After a while they did not work except with the closed doors. I wanted to install two more 2 buttons in the plastic where the battery watches and oil pressure are. Because the original location of the buttons seems a little awkward.
