Who fancies some work???
« on: October 25, 2006, 17:21:52 PM »
This is probably gonna be the oddest request EVER but here goes anyway:

I have a 1993 Redtop with a buggered engine. I also now have a 1992 Redtop with a non-buggered engine! 1992 Cally is nowhere near as good as my K reg, which is why it was bought as a donor car instead of a replacement.

So 1992 engine is coming out, as is 1993 engine, and 1992 engine is going into my K reg Cally! This is gonna involve swapping looms and ECU over as well...

Basically, I need to find someone who has a better idea than I have of what they're doing to come along and get this job out of the way so I can have my car back on the road asap!

I'm in Middlesbrough and these jobs would realistically have to be done at the side of the road... obviously, money would change hands for this plus you'd have the satisfaction of helping a fellow Cally owner out of a proper tight spot! Oh yeah, and if there were any bits off the 1992 car that you wanted/needed for yours, you could have them gratis!

So... any takers???

I did mine myself, I'm sure you can do yours, its really not that difficult. you just need a second pair of hands when it comes to using the engine crane.
