It could be a few things ie door seal, heater matrix or a blocked sunroof drain. Any idea where it appears to be coming from?

If you want to check the door seals, peel the carpets back slightly then sit in the car while somebody jetwashes it. Having said that, I cant see both your door seals failing at once.

Are you 100% sure the new matrix isn't leaking? Did you disturb any rubber grommets?

Have you checked the elephant trunk, if it gets blocked it can back up and start leaking into the footwell from what i understand. I noticed mine was the same on the passenger side, took of the elephant trunk and it's full of crap.

Positioned just behind the engine on the bulkhead, you should see a black bit of rubber hanging down. Pull it off and see what it's like inside, give it a clean and pop it back on, easy 5 min job.

I was still getting water in the passenger side footwell after I had done all of the things suggested above.

I finally fixed it by re-sealing the plastic fitting under the windscreen wipers where air gets channeled into the heater fan.

I needed to remove wiper arms and motor to get to it, but it was worth it.

Lets hope so buddy i'm just waiting to see if my carpet starts to dry out, as with yours mine was full of crap. Don't understand why they didn't put the slit at the bottom rather than on the side as it's asking to get blocked up.

I know this is an old thread,
But easier to revive this than start another.

I seem to now be having the same problem with water in the passenger side footwell,

Could someone please just clarify for me what an *elephants trunk* is and where id find it?

Had a look around the bay and can see anything that resembles it?
Thanks Ash.

Open the bonnet, And look directly centre all the way up. Just behind the TURBO plastic cover thing you will see a piece of rubber with an opening at the side.

Just as J said, you can't miss it. Also if you were to remove the scuttle panel, do clear that out as can get aload of crap blocking it in ther.
