Not all Calibra's had the wiring as standard.

The wires are colour coded and so just connect them to the wires behind the dash that are the same colour and they'll work.

Don't I have to buy a different oil pressure sender for these to work? The Redtop one's not suitable if these weren't fitted as standard, is it...?

I've been to the VX dealer today and got one for an Ecotec 2.0 - will my existing oil pressure plug (on my wiring harness) fit this or do I need to go snip one off a car in the scrappy???

All help from more knowledgable people is hugely appreciated!

On the oil pressure sender there should be two connections, 1 for the dash and the other to the Oil/Volt gauges :)

Ok, so I'm halfway through fitting these and I've run into a problem: it's not working!

I've connected the gauge lighting wire to the lighting wire on the heated seat switches (so far so good) and the main live and the earth to the ignition... when I turn the lights on, the starter motor starts spinning!!!

What the hell am I doing wrong here????

Right, connect number 1 and 2 to the glove box lights (live/earth) Number 3 to a permanent live from the fuse box and number 4 to the oil pressure sender unit.

I'll update tomorrow as to whether it's worked or not.

Am I supposed to have 2 connections on the pressure sender on the engine? Or 2 wires coming off the one plug into the sender...?

The one I got from VX only has 1 connection on it... might have to compare it to the one that's already on to see if they're the same...
