V6 not starting - spark & fuel okay
« on: September 15, 2019, 08:48:09 AM »
Hi guys

Need some help please. Trying to get my calibra back on the road after it’s been sitting for a few years. Had in issue with the fuel pump not working, which has now been replaced along with a new fuel sender unit custom built.

Also changed the fuel lines while in the process of this.

Now the tanks back on with a brand new battery and the car doesn’t start. I can get it running on easy start but stops as soon as you stop spraying. I am getting spark to the plugs and fuel to the rails. No engine management light on the dash.

Would anyone have any ideas?

Does the engine management light up at all? When the ignition is turned on but you are not trying to star the car? Seems like a crankshaft sensor failure to me... As if you get fuel to the rail but the injectors are not spraying..
