Steering wheel VS Seat
« on: February 26, 2019, 11:08:03 AM »
Hi Guys.
Does anyone have a LHD Calibra?
Is the steering wheel offset to the right, when compared to the seat?
I want to understand if it is a driving position problem or a sign that the car had an accident...

Thank you.

Hello amalgamut,
I have a MY95 16v ecotec that I'm currently (trying to) restore every nook and cranny in my spare time. Engine bay is almost empty as I'm cleaning everything and changing all those years old rubbers and pipes. Next time I'm working on it, I'll take a few measurements from each side of the steering wheel to the seat (pushed all the way back) - is this helpfull or should I do it in some other manner.

Já agora, estás em que parte de Portugal? Já não se vêem muitos meninos destes nas nossas estradas.

Hi Amalgamut .... It's not just LHD but RHD models as well;  the steering wheel isn't central to the seat so I don't think you've got anything to be concerned with. I first noticed this years ago.
