disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes before you start, this will disable the airbag.

Some people seem to remove them just by smacking the sh*t out of them with a hammer or rocking the steering wheel until it comes of but what you need mate is one of these,



It's a steering wheel puller for the calibra and normally costs around a tenner.

Im guessing you have undone the 2 air bag screws so you can remove the airbag and are left with the steering wheel on its own. 

lets hope so or he will be getting a very violent case of whiplash shortly 

-Remove the centre nut
-Get a mate to sit in the drivers seat
-Cable tie his hands to the steering wheel
-Attach a jump lead from each battery terminal to each of his nads
-Steering wheel will shortly be removed, although the smell of burning pubic hair may linger for some time. Try some febreeze
