MOT Changes - May 2018
« on: April 16, 2018, 16:34:22 PM »
There is a whole raft of changes in the MOT next month. I will not go through all of them but list two items that will mean automatic failure. First is retro-fitted HIDs and the second is an EML that does not come on when the ignition is turned on and go out when the engine is started. It also appears that if your car fails it will be illegal to drive it away even if the old MOT has not run out. I suspect many of the changes have been brought about by the government, in cohorts with the manufacturers (look how poor Vauxhall are for spares for older models), to drive old cars off the road!   :(

The changes come in on the 20th May so if your cars MOT is due in the next few months it might be an idea to take it early!   8)

HID is only a bulb swap, as for all the 'major' fails well, LOL.
Lewis Hamilton said that winning his first race felt better than having sex. Kimi's reply to that was, Maybe he never had sex.
