knock wen turn right

hi i hav a knocking noise wen i turn right it has only just started to do this to day it only does it know ind again its ither the cv joint of the bottem joint on the wish bone its the only two things i can think of that would do this

check the anti roll bar links prone to snapping they go through the wishbones

could be your exhaust, check the mid section. mine does the same thing and its a pics of rubber thats compressed over time.

Mine's developed the exact same thing just recently mate let me know what you find??? i suspected it was a suspension fault but the handlings as sharp as ever even when i drive her hard!!!

Mine "cluncks" when I turn left.
I need a cv boot/joint and droplink.

im going to hav to get it done wat ever the knock is starting to p*** me off now iv got a few other little problems to sort out as well still the problems iv got dont stop me from drieing the car at least

ill hav see if i can hav a go at fixing it if cv boot has gone ill hav a try at doing it thats if i dont stick my fingers together with the fast drying gator glue

i wouldnt bother with those glued gaitors always seem to fall apart

now you say that some one did warn me that split gators werent all that good i will get a garage todo it i think i cant be botherd to take the drive shaft off to put a non split gator on i think i would get into bother if i took the shaft off the hub

To start with a failing CV joint will only knock when on full lock when it is on the 'outside' of the car going round the corner. Otherwise it will work perfectly normally.

You only need to change the boot if the old one is split (which lets out the grease allowing overheating) (also MOT fail) or you are changing the joint.

Rather than 'glued up' boots you can now get 'stretchy' ones that can be forced on. Changing the boot is not for the fainthearted!

cheack around the back of the wheel, if the cv boot has split then ther will be one hell of a mess behind ther,  i had to get my alloy steam cleaned when mine went.

im going to book my calibra in to get the knocking sorted and i need a few other things done as well ill put a post up wen cars been done
