Ignition Switch Removal
« on: February 25, 2015, 19:22:57 PM »
Does anyone know if the later ignition switches were held in slightly different than 2 grub screws?

I've removed one but on the other side it's more like a rounded pin rather than a grub screw so I can't see how I can take it out.  Having to do it because I lost my key and the spare I have doesn't switch the immobiliser off (chip is still in there though).
I've got an auto locksmith coming round tomorrow to code a new key but the ignition barrel is jammed now so I can't turn the ignition on for him to code it up.
I'm hoping a new key will just turn the barrel but in case it doesn't I wanted to drop the switch and turn it manually.
