That's what I thought too - just thought I'd get some more opinions.

I just don't fancy another winter of seeing nothing in front of me at night... :(

There are cheaper sets floating about, if you don't mind them coming from HK..
As I said, I would go for them.
I don't use my car much in winter, so I'm in no rush for them quite yet.

Post up the pictures when you get them.

I've got those in mine, and from that seller.
I got them end of August and had NO problems at all. Very happy with them.

cant view the ebay link from work, but is it a proper hid kit or just bulbs?

if it is the proper kit, is the calibra wiring of a good enough quality to deal with it?  (some cars have cheap wiring for lights)

Calibra's wiring is shocking, however the HID kit (it's a full kit) work fine, and have been proven to do so by numerous members. Rest assured.

Could someone please explain, briefly & in "man with a hangover" terms, what this HID is all about?

I'm getting the jist that it's better than the the standard Calibra "tea lights" but what is actually involved with these kits?

Also, I'm planning on buying angel eye headlights in the new year, would this have any effect if I were to buy an HID kit first?

Ta muchly :)

HID is easy to fit to standard lights..even I did it!!..give a really bright light that has been commented on and night driving is safer and more of a pleasure than guessing where the road goes?..I have aftermarket angel eye's and clear lenses fitted aswell. I'm not sure you can fit the HID conversion to the angel eye lights you buy as a full headlight replacement though. At least not easily.

I will personally let someone with first hand experience (such as RobbieV) explain HID.

What I will suggest however, is that you check the HIDs will fit in the angeleyes. There have been stories of such items being too big.

Maybe check this?

Cheers guys.

Think I'll play safe for now & leave alone until the new year when I'll figure out whether I'll be getting angel eyes or not.
