Hi!

Have you a copy of the Haynes manual? Just thinking you can look through the wiring diagram for later models, identify the sensors and the wiring colour code for each from that - then compare to what he’s connected up.

Hope that’s some help
Andrew

I understand that, here’s a walk through example for the knock sensor.

1. Find the sensor in the index (named “Key to wiring diagrams) which is pages 12.42-12.44. Here’s the knock sensor:

2. Note the sensor number (P46) and the track number (153-154, 227) in this case and locate the page with the track number on. In this case look at 153-154 which is on page 12.45 - note the track ranges at the bottom:

3. Find the sensor on the page, following the track numbers - or just look for P46 on the page if that’s easier:

4. Note the wiring colour codes down, in this case BRWS and BRSW:

5. Look up the colour codes on page 12.23 - in this case the wires are BRown with a White Stripe (BRWS) and BRown with a Black Stripe (BRSW):

In addition to the two wires we noted there’s also a solid brown (no stripe) wire which is a ground/earth. That will be there on many/most sensors.

That’s all there is to it - so now you know that the knock sensor has two wires that are unique to it, both brown and one with a white stripe, other with a black stripe.

It’s just a case of repeating for each sensor you’re interested in.

That could be a problem, I’m not a site admin but maybe the plugin doesn’t support large files. I use Tapatalk to post/read - it has its own image support and is available for iPhone/iPad and android.
