*Open bonnet
*Remove three bolts that hold bumper to slam panel
*Remove screws from front edge of each wheel arch, you may need to turn the wheel onto each lock to get access and I can't remember how many there are off the top of my head.
*Carefully pop each side out from the wheel arch then from the front unclip the outside temp sensor, underside passenger side, it just pops out.
*bumper should then come off
*Then it's just a case of unbolting each headlight
*Pulling forward enough to unplug everything and out they come.

This is a rough guide, if iv missed anything someone will pull me up on it I'm sure ;D

Removing the bumper is not hard, it would be harder stooped over in the cold trying to fiddle than just quickly removing the bumper IMO.

I can have my bumper off in a few minutes if I have the tools ready, it's a quick job.

Not hard but pointless in this case to remove bumper, HID's don't take long to fit :)

I'd crack on though, be dark in half hour :P

If the bumper has never been off then there are also 2 or 3 8mm self tapping bolts going up in front of each wheel arch. They normally get left off after the first time. And if they haven't been off then they will be blobs of rounded rust.
