Help please with tank sender.

Hi all, I've just removed the old intank fuel pump from the calibra V6 and I'm changing the two worn rubber pipes as they have also seen better days, only problem I've now got is for the life of me I can't work out how to refit the fuel tank sender to the bowl assembly, I do remember pulling on the plastic ring that pulled the unit up and out of the tank. But now I can't get the darn thing to go back on, please does anyone have an old tank or has done this job before that can help me with how it fits, your help is really appreciated so I can get the old girl running again. Thank you

Hi, If you see my enquiry regarding expansion tank pipes,agw9262 kindly sent over a spares website. If you check https:opel.7zap.com go on Calibra then fuel and exhaust it shows a exploded diagram for fuel pumps. Hope this helps.

Thank you jepwee for your reply, I have looked at the website you gave me but it doesn't show how the sensor actually fits to the swirlpot and I'm kicking myself that I didn't take photos at the time before I removed it, I have managed to remove the 2 old internal worn rubber pipes which where in poor condition and I have a new pump and basket filter on order but I'm still stuck attempting to fit the fuel sender, I was hoping someone might have a spare V6 fuel tank in their shed etc that they could perhaps snap a quick picture for me of the internals, that would sort all my problems, but thanks for your kind reply.

Hi ,well I had a look at fuel pump and sender, what I've got is the fuel pump held in a plastic frame which has 3 hook like extensions which I assume hook onto the top of the tank. As for the sender even looking at the exploded parts I haven't clue how it fits. The exploded view shows no extra parts !.In the Opel site if you go electrical then fuel sender there extra pictures that made be of help. Sorry not the answer you were looking for, hope someone out there as the answer.
