Engine warning light keeps coming on and off need advice
« on: January 20, 2014, 22:18:05 PM »
Hi, as titled engine warning light keeps coming on and off had it scanned and coming up fault 16 rear knock sensor.

What I need to know is there any member who knows the correct toque setting (tightness) as been told if you under tighten or over tighten this can give a false reading and problem will persist.

Can go for days with out warning light on then next minute bang on it comes which is also affecting the preformance, I can only assume the Ecu corrects itself and that's why this fault is intermittent, would appreciate any advice, cheers

Load of rubbish. I changed both mine and just 'nipped' them up :)
I think it's 8nm or something daft.

Don't even bother trying to route the cable back where VX put it either, it's a dumbass way, you'll see what I mean. Cut it to remove cable to or you'll be there all day.

It's not as bad a job as a lot make out. It is bloody awkward but doable.
