Cooling System Cleaning - Advice Please!
« on: December 15, 2007, 12:39:02 PM »
I've heard rumours about using washing powder (got the Daz on standby!) to clean cooling systems with before refilling with anti-freeze... does anyone know the correct procedure for doing this?

I'm sure it was Foxxy who suggested it originally...

i thought it was washing up liquid.  if i remember correctly, you are supposed to add some to the system.  no doubt robbie will know.  ot, you can buy some rad flush that should do the same job.

Unless you have oil contanmination you won't need the washing powder, just give it a good rinse out.
