Coolant sensor
« on: August 17, 2010, 08:33:23 AM »
The other week my car failed the mot on emisions, a mate re- did the mot and passed it for me but told my emisions were double what they should have been after reading about the coolant sensor i changed it, the one that came out was a black as miners face, The new one sorted out my emisions but not only that the increase in performance is unreal far grater than the induction kit and powercap, i no longer have a flat spot at 31/2 - 4K plus its not overfuelling hence the better performance,  Anyone who has not changed the little coolant temp sensor - do it you will be dazzled by what gains you can get from a 19.97 part from vauxhall plus the savings you get on fuel. ;D

I always say it should be treated as a servicable item, it makes a massive difference compared to an old rotten one!

There you go..£4

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-CALIBRA-SEAT-BELT-O-S-/160458497848?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM

Check with them first as the pic does look slightly different to the calibra..it says it fits..I got mine a while ago when a few oithers bought them....someone had a load listed.

PMSL LammysAllyHeaderTankScam, that appears to be a seatbelt :D

they are not all the same.  for example there are 2 types you can get for the calibra turbo alone, one with aircon and one without.  I know this because i got it wrong last year and my car went nuts lol.  so don't all go buying the wrong ones.

Simple...Andy.....contac t the ebay seller first and check them..don't take my word..i'm no expert as you can see...it is listed for 16V..they may stock 2.5?

The chart here says the same fits most..(maybe not the turbo?)

if it doesnt have air con its the blue one if it does have con it has a black electrical connection

Actually the blue CTS is for the ECU regardless of aircon, and the black one is for the dash.
