In a word yes. They normally click when worn.

You can replace the small plastic bush that fits in between the bolt holding the door check strap, go to your local Vaux dealer and ask for part number 90462823, costs 19p plus vat  :)

problem solved  ;)

Yes there is a difference but i think it's just a case of letting the Vaux dealer know which year your cally is.

After checking a similar thread on another cally site the price seems to vary from 19p +vat to 30p +vat, but still a very cheap fix for such an annoying problem  :)

I bought a set of these as per the code quoted above, but not sure if the guy gave me the right part as it came in a pack of 2 and they didn't fit (too large). Not sure if my (Kreg92) Cally has a different fitting or the guy at vx gave me the wrong part. I'm going back this afternoon to buy another set hopefully it will ok this time.

Right just got back from vx and they say the part is the right one I asked for (90462823). I'm confused now, how does this plastic washer fit? I assumed it would fit in the hole but seems too big to fit. The vx guy says the washer sits underneath the check strap is this right?

I'm thinking there are 2 different parts for this plastic bush as the 90 part i have just doesn't seem to fit. Basically it seems too large in diameter to fit in between the bolt of the checkstrap.

Thanks mate. I think i'll just have to put up with the cranking sound for now as too much hassle trying to find right bit and a complete replacement check strap is
