Title: C20XE vs X20XEV
Post by: StefanWylde on September 04, 2018, 14:47:09 PM
I'm very curious, I know this has been discussed many times, what makes the C20XE more powerful? The ecotec has a higher compression ratio (10.8:1 vs 10.5:1) yet makes less power than the XE. Also, according to auto-data the urban fuel consumption is 11l for the redtop and 12.5l for the ecotec. It makes no sense to me for the new engine to be less efficient and less powerful. Can anybody explain to me why is this?

I think the emissions euro 1 for c20xe and euro 2 for x20xev and x20xev has EGR and c20xe dosen't maybe has bigger injectors more aggressive cameshaft, for exaple most c20let owners swap their intel cam from c20xe for more hp, the c20xe whith some modifications could easley go for 200-250 hp in N/A, if i have to chose for c20xe or x20xev i will go for c20xe without hesitation
