C20XE Head
« on: September 06, 2010, 22:15:22 PM »
Hello,

I'm trying to get hold of a C20xe head for my SE2 & am wondering if any C20xe head can go on? Mine is the later type with the coil pack, would an early type go on & would it need any mods?

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers, George

AFAIK the only differances were between Coscast & Schmidt, yours being the later, both will fit I'm fairly sure though don't quote me on that :)

No, it was the alternater belt that snapped then wrapped itself around the bottom pully causing it to jump a few teeth. Unfortunately the person who was supposed to be helping me sort it has made off with the head :'(, so i'm now on the look out for a head

Am I right in thinking the lay and xe head are the same?

If so Ben has a few he is selling.
Warned and muted for insulting a precious moderator. Totally forgetting the continious slagging off I get from the same people.

Double standards. What a joke

I believe Coscast and Kolbensmith have different torque/angle settings..

isnt that only if you use head studs?

they are meant to be the same.  the only difference is that people tend to be more confident torqing up the coscast as it isn't prone to cracking / porous, so people tend to state more for the coscast than the gm.

Both I think?
Coscast should be 350 Nm and Kolbensmith 700, 370 Nm. Kolbensmith 400 and 859, 220 Nm,
