apart from gettin a rottweiler to sit in the boot it could be a sticky solenoid to your boot lock or if its like the astra ones it could be just loose and need tightening up or a dodgy wire to the solenoid . i think i would get a rottweiler

open the boot, lift the cardboard rear driver side light covering.  You can see the boot lock.

Look at the metal tab that moves approximately 110 degrees.

Now lock your car using the drivers door to activate the central locking.

Back to the boot lock.

What position is the tab in? At the bottom, or at the side?

If its moved over the electrical switch, it means its locked. If its not quite over the switch, even a little off, its not locked.

If the rest of the car is locked, but the boot is not, simply push the tab into the locked position.

sh*t lock design.
