8v Idle control valve

Hi, As anyone fitted a after market 8v Idle control valve which has a smaller inlet pipe (18.5mm) than the standard Bosch 22.5mm one.
Interested in the replies.

Had one (cheap) version fitted for a while, because I thought the original one caused some idling instability. Didn't notice much difference, but to be honest maybe I didn't drive it enough... fitted back the original one as it made me feel 'safer' knowing the ICV wasn't the issue for my idling problems
