see what tommy means, When your reving it isn't boosting over 0.1bar so it's pretty much not boosting it's going up to 0 then stopping   ???

ah right, im pretty sure your previous post didn't say that when I edited :)

yeh i meant that when he revs the engine it never goes into positive boost, it stays under 0. it maybe fine and it might be my car thats broke.

Ok so how much boost should i get with reving on idle? I dont think i did WOT i just reved with half pedal, i will try to floor it on idle hehehe

So heres my new update :) changed dash bulbs with white SMD leds, needed to drill a bit and solder directly but its worth every penny ;) light is EQUAL and now its same like gauges white/red combo!

lights look awesome :)

in all fairness I am making a mountain out of a molehill really. it doesnt matter at all what boost you get on idle, as long as you get boost when the car is under load then it doesnt matter about idle. I was only really interested in to why your car wasnt making boost on idle but it was more for curiousity than anything.

Turbocharged cars do not boost at idle, there is vacume only.. I.e negitive on the gauge, although it is possible to get the turbo/s spinning at idle, but this is more strip cars. If your seeing boost pressure at idle then I'd check the sensor and gauge, as it might be shot..
I have seen cheap anologe eBay gauges that the needle hits .5bar when under vacume before, and you defenatly don't want them in your car, especially if your upping boost,

Thanks! Well we were talking about REVING. As you can see on my video it gets barely to 0.1. I tested it today it boosts when reving harder, it gets close to 0.5 :) so everything is fine!

Yup reving or idle, there will be no boost pressure untill under load :)

why do you think that est? My car definitely goes slightly into boost when reving whilst static, the same as this car and berny, and I don't have cheap gauges.

I am just interested in the physics behind it more than anything.

It's to do with the wastgates, have a read at this, it explains it a tad better as I've had a few beers, lol, I've been debating wether or not to go down the path of getting my turbos spinning while not under load on my tuned 3000gt

It could just be the gauge, is it an anologe gauge? They can sometimes not be 100%, defi, apexi, greddy, blitz ect do good accurate anologe ones, but I like the digital gauges more and the good ones give a absoloute spot on reading.. these are the gauges I use http://www.amber-performance.co.uk/product.php?xProd=10061&xSec=2615
