Latest addition to the fleet...

Hi folks just picked this up, minter of an se6 with only 42K on it, bit of a strange one though, has an xe instead of ne, so not sure whether to keep as is or revert to standard. A few pics, still dirty so new ones to follow soon, thanks, oh and the se2 is for sale if anyones interested.

Someone has obviously cocked about with it, Vectra steering wheel too....


Love the SE2, my favourite of the entire range probably! (With a V6 in it though) ;)

Yeah se2 is my fav too, had one 7 years ago with 60k, one owner, sold it and it got wrecked! Was not happy, got one coming soon to keep...
Vectra wheel is fine as its OEM basically, couldn't say no, it really is very very clean, woud you swap it or keep as is then?

It's a lovely car no doubt, but hard to actually use.

By that I mean it's too slow for track, and too low mileage/mint to be used daily. Not sure what it could be good for except maybe the summer shows?

I'd keep the XE in it, much more desirable engine imo though obviously not what the SE6 came with. Depends, is it a keeper or a 'move it on' car?

Why is it too low mileage/mint to be a daily? They can be a daily you know, a few of us do actually manage it!  ;D

Pretty much a toy,like all my cars, I sell cars so usually drive whatever happens to be road legal and the callys are for dry days/shows etc

ALZ it's a keeper, as there can't be many left like this

Then I'd keep it, with the XE in it tbh! Unless of course you bung an NE in a get dollar for the XE......

Because car park dings. Because heavily salted roads. Because winter. Because low mileage gives it value.

I don't know. I'd rather have a standard Focus/Astra/306 for a daily and not care about any of the above.

So, park away from everyone, wash the thing, use wax etc. Low mileage, mmmmnn don't agree on that. I'd rather a high miler well looked after that a low miler never looked at :)

A few weeks ago I parked at the far end of large carpark which was about 95% empty. Somebody still came and parked right next to me!

Can't be arsed caring for a daily driver, it's tedious!

And mileage is the biggest factor in Calibra value, like it or not. I'd agree with you to an extent, but most people wouldn't as evidenced in pricing!
