Problem seems to be sorted...
Checked the cam sensor and wiring. All looks good.
Put a good dose of redex through it and gave it a good blast. Havent had the problem since... Hopefully OK now  ;)

Ok still having the problem. Still no management light but down on power and limited at 4500 revs.
Found it seems to do it when the car is started when hot. Leave the car a while and it seems ok. Must be a sensor somewhere. Anybody got any suggestions? Should i start by replacing the cam sensor?  ???

Yes. The 4500 rev limit is the ecu's 'get you home' setting. Mine broke after I had a prang & I had a bit of fun trying to get the old one out by pulling back the cambelt cover.

The camshaft phase sensor is a single piece with a plug socket at the top & a 2 prong fork at the bottom.

It's enough to clean your fingerprints from the lens.

Ok...nice buy......as for the wiring of the trip computer you may be lucky to find the Yellow plug that does in the back of the display....it mabe tucked back behind the glove box zip tied to the main loom....that is where i found mine on my old 16v...as for the control switch the loom for that could be under the pannel just behing the gear gaiter....or hiding under the carpet/center console.
