I see looks like the owner of the car it came from must have fitted it himself. Thanks for all your help. I have contacted Ian and will see what he will quote for reprogramming it. Otherwise i may have to search for another computer.  :P

I like the head unit and keyless entry. Will you be keeping the cloth interior or looking to put leather in?

Thanks FruitLoop, I will probably be keeping the cloth interior for the moment as it is not bad as cloth interiors go. I also have a project calibra v6 which has black leather and was considering swapping them over but the cloth in my car at the moment is in near mint condition and so i will probably be keeping it standard se8.

For now anyway...

Finally got the backing plate i needed to install the Vectra steering wheel, It was surprisingly easy.

I think it looks miles better than the standard wheel and loving the radio controls!  8)

Ok so been having a problem with the 2.0 ecotec cally. Couple of weeks ago when i overtook a car in third gear it seemed down on power and it bounced off a rev limiter at 4500 revs, After turning the engine off and re-starting it seemed to go fine and rev upto 6500 with no problems so thought it must be a one off.
Today the same, overtook a car and seemed to be down on power, so changed down to third and sure enough it bounced off rev limiter at 4500 revs. Engine off and restarted and it was fine.  ???
Has anybody experienced a problem like this? any suggestions as to what to try?
Thought it might be some kind of limp mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as im not the best with electronics.  :D

Cam sensor or wiring to the sensor can sometimes get trapped under the cam cover if someone has made a bad job of changing the gasket
