Calibra 1997 by Vemanis (picture heavy)

Hello everyone! My name is Gaby, i am from Romania, and i want to present you my ride, an Opel Calibra 1997, X20XEV.  First of all, i want you to excuse my bad English language or the mistakes i will do in the future.
Anyway, i had bought the car last year from Germany. It had at the moment 136.000 km. I  was very glad of it, because it was manufactured in Finland at Saab factory (no rust  ;D), and because it's the full version, with leather interior, Bose sound system, air conditioner, 2 airbags, electric powered windows/mirrors etc... Also the Dezent alloy wheels are very nice. How i can put some pictures here?

Hello and welcome. Your English is better than some of our English members  :D

Have a look here

http://www.clubcalibra.com/index.php?topic=24798.0

Basically you need to upload the pictures to an image hosting site, then copy and paste the IMG code into your post. It should then show the pic. Instead of clicking post, try clicking preview instead. Will make sure it works before you post :)

Welcome along.

Love that splitter on the Cally, nice and subtle, you going to colour code it?

As i promise I'm back with news about my beast. After short time of buying I saw that my ride is not so perfect as I expected. Therefore, i made some changes at it. First, at the front suspension (new BOGE shock absorbers, new Sachs bearings-above coil springs, new MOOG suspension arms) and at the rear (Lesjofors coil springs, some bushes at the twin suspension arms that made my rear wheels look like an old BMW) and of course the tyres Front - Falken 215/40/ ZR 16; Rear - Brigdestone Potenza Runflat 225/50/ZR 16 - both of them are great at the rain!

Upgrades:

I wanted to protect my baby from bad guys, there I have mounted an Astra 777 alarm with pager.

A very nasty thing were my winshield sun visors, one of them had the mirror cracked and the other is incomplete. I fixed them quickly with another.  ;D

Probably one of the most important upgrades I've made on the  car is the underneath protection from rocks and other bad intrusions /noises. In a weekend, me and my father give the Cali a cover of Teroson for all the "belly" of the car. I am very pleased of the result:

love the registration plate too

undersealing is a good thing to do
If she thinks you don't love her then
a) Take her out for a meal
b) Buy her some flowers or
c) Cram it in her ass. Dry.
Then she'll know you do!

Upgrades:

After some days, I considered that my car will look better with an Angel eyes headlamps... So....

The car came with a bonus, I mean one set of alloy wheels and Dunlop WinterSport tyres 195/65/R15 that I've used in the past winter and probably this winter too. The wheels were not in good condition, as I went for restoration. I polished and repainted them, and now are like new one.

The next mods I've had, were the cover of the e-brake and the gear shift lever. I went for custom black perforated leather with red  bead. They look great!

.

Because the lights of Calibra is well known as bad as it's gets, I went for a set of Xenon HID installation. The visibility is well improved.
.

In te early this year, I decide to paint my calipers in RED, of course....

I'm appologise for the size of the images, but at the moment I can't resize them due to computer problems! Sorry again, I hope this will not bring me a Ban or other bad thing (block the post) etc... :(
