C20NE
« on: November 13, 2014, 00:12:21 AM »
Hi guys,

So my story starts with 1995 color edition C20NE Calibra. I bought it from a second owner who have had it for 14 years, with  original 140 000 km on it. Car was mostly in mint shape inside and out (rust wise of course), with some severe problems with the paint.

Soon after, first little things started to be sorted out

Then the standard interior got replaced with leather (I have a husky, the dog hair was killing me)

Then it was time for paint job

End result

Next we tried to fit in kadett LCD tacho resulting in this

(yes, one bulb is dead:))

But some time later I scored vectra 2000 LCD, which fits much better imho

Thats about it for now, sorry about picture heavy first post.
Plan is to keep it stock on the outside, original height/suspension, and no spoilers. Maybe I ll replace original rims some time soon, but I kinda like the clean stock look.

I think in the UK that would be a "Calibra SE1". Colour, wheels, interior and engine are all correct.

Not sure if in UK there is different naming scheme, but factory paint (bermuda green), was part of color edition calibras. No sunroof as well. Any calibra '95+ seems to be one SE or another anyway:D

And thanks for the comments guys.

Totally different in UK. Not all 95+ are SE's for a start, we didn't have 'colour editions' either. Your original spec car would have been an SE1 in UK.

I believe the only UK Calibra with no sunroof were the SE8 and SE9 versions.

SE refers to 'special edition' in reality they weren't that special LOL, mostly paint colour and engine. We also got the DTM versions.

Nice work on the Calibra - looks really nice.

The DTM version in Europe was the Keke Rosberg edition :)
