96' Calibra V6 C25 XE
« on: August 01, 2015, 00:15:23 AM »
Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum. Three months ago I have bought a '96 Calibra from an old lady that was sitting around for almost three years.

The sunroof was half open and would not close. the roof lining was all damaged, the trip computer was missing.

Since, I have got the car I have changed the oil and filter, flushed the coolant, could not get my hand a sunroof so, I have manually closed the sunroof permanently. replaced the roof lining (was that a tricky job), put a new trip computer on. Now my wife is driving the car daily :) the previous owner has put an after market spoiler/wing which I would like to remove later as I think it ruins the fluid look of the car.

I have attached some picture of car with post.

I have also done a video of the car as well. Here is the link -

Hiya!

Nice car :)

Just a couple of things for you, the 'speakers' on the B pillar are alarm sensors. And I can't agree on the handling, mine is like being on a boat, LOL!!!

So they are the motion sensing alarm. Sorry didn't know that.

I knew that the shock absorber and few other components of the suspension has been swapped over by the previous owner, I wonder whether that has made improvement over the stock set up.

I will add notes to my video that the suspension components have been changed on my vehicle and the handling capability of the factory setup is inferior.

thank you for your feedback.

V6 - Good Choice...

I've got 2 of them, so if you need any suggestions, I'm happy to assist in any way I can...
The Red Safety Reflector has a secret spot in the boot, just below the rear number plate, in case you didn't already know... Have fun...
