if doing something like this for the first time what is the potential for damage/disaster. also how difficult is it to set the timing again
Tappets are easy man, it's the timing thats hard(er)
If you take your time and turn the engine over by hand when you're done, you dont run much risk of damage! Just give it 2 full rotations by hand, check the tensioner and you're sorted. If you want to start a thread as you go along im sure you'll get plenty of help and advice
