how long should it take to do this???

im not really mechanically minded as such but quite happy to give it a go - it looks fairly simple to do myself - is it worth attempting or easier to just get a garage to do it?

Its definetly worth tackling yourself mate! leave yourself a goods few hours to change them and follow the guide and all will be ok.

Tools required are pretty simple really, a socket set, wheel brace, basic car jack, allan key bits to remove your caliper and carrier, some copper grease, brake cleaner and a Philips and Flat screwdriver and a set of pliers :)

I used this guide ( in fact it was me who refound the pics when the link was broken LOL ) If I can do this job then anyone can, it's really quite simple. The only thing I'd say is that you'll need a bit of strength to undo some of the bolts as mine appeared have threadlock on them. Nothing that a bit of elbow grease won't cure !

Yes agreed, its tough on the old muscles but once you are there its a great feeling, as long as everything is nice and tight on refitting ;D

this is a good guide..shame you didn't show how to do the rear and how to tighten the handbrake cable..that would of been perfect...

great guide mate ;)

i personally use slip joint adjustable pliers to compress the piston in the caliper tho. when doing your back discs and brakes you need to have 2 new "anti-rattle" clips for the rear calipers and you may also need to loosen to handbrake adjuster to slacken the contact between the handbrake pads and the inner disc surface ;)

Where can I get these anti rattle clips from? Or will they come with new rear discs and pads?
