V6 water pump
« on: November 07, 2008, 07:17:18 AM »
I know it's a bit of a basic one but does anyone have a guide for changing the water pump on a V6 ?
Does changing mean the timing belt HAS to come off?

Never mind - got it done today.
Great fun fitting the water pump in.
Must have taken the thing in and out about 10 times and filed the fins down as they seemed to be catching on the block recess.

I'll look forward to that - be interesting to see if there is a quicker way.
I had to remove the PAS wheel cover, the water pump cover and loosen off the tensioner assembly just to get the timing belt cover off.
Will your guide cover the cam locking tools?
