engine cleaning

Hey all....can anyone throw me up a picture on what exactly needs to be covered up in the engine bay when cleaning and degreasing please   and how and with what do you clean the bits that are covered up. Mauy i really need a pic as names of bits mean nothing to me... :-\ ;)

Depends on how you're going to clean it as to what you need to cover up.
Steam cleaning is great but can play havoc with your electrical system if you get ingress.
You can get a really good degreaser from Autoglym especially for engine cleaning which if your careful with means minimum risk of getting the electrics wet as it isn't high pressured like steam cleaning is.
Change is inevitable, growth is optional
