Hi chav!
Would you happen to know if theres a guide anywere on the removal of the fuel rail on let engine??
Im replacing my injectors this weekend, and ive never done this before..
Prob not to hard to do, but i thought id get some idea first.
Cheers rich
Right here goes, from memory. Correct me if I miss anything
1. Remove the "turbo" inlet manifold cover (x4 allen key bolts)
2. Release pressure in the fuel rail by removing black plastic dust cover and depressing the valve (just poke it with something). You might get a little squirt of fuel but nothing dangerous
You now need to remove the wiring harness from the top of the fuel rail (the thick black box!)
3. Unplug the TPS (on the left side of the throttle body)
4. Undo x2 10mm nuts either side of the fuel rail. There will be two earth wires under the right nut and one under the left. Lift these off.
5. Release the wiring harness from the injectors, there are four silver } shaped clips that do this. This is the trickiest bit
6. Lift the wiring harness up and clear of the fuel rail and injectors (you may need to unplug one or two more things)
7. Unhook the throttle cable from it's bracket (pull cable towards you, THEN up

)
8. Remove throttle cable bracket
Now all you have to do is remove the rail. Nice and easy.
9. Undo the fuel line unions (17mm and 19mm spanner required, easy)
10. Under the 10mm nuts you removed earlier are another pair of 10mm fittings. Undo these with a deep socket and the rail will now be free
11. Give the rail a good tug, the injectors will pop out (they are wedged in on rubber o-rings
If you need to remove the injectors they are simply held on by four U-clips.
