I prefer MotoGP too, but I don't find F1 boring and yesterday's race was more full of incidents and overtaking than most.

Ah ok, personally I just can't stand it, I just fall asleep instead. I love cars, but in the F1 class i'd rather prefer some Moto action.
Memorable quotes: " 19 people in a cave made NORAD stand down ".

I think it would be fair in the interst of the sport for ferrari to have points from that race taken away and other teams moved up the grid accordingly. This would then send out the message that if you use team orders you'll get no points.

I don't think suspending the team would do any good, I also believe it wont happen especially with Monza being the next circuit.

Agreed.

I'm sure that he didn't, but he is getting a bit of a reputation for crashing into other drivers - not least his team mate - by ill-judged moves.  He's undoubtedly a very skillful driver, but he does seem to overestimate his own ability and ends up having rather too many 'avoidable accidents'...

I wonder whether the stewards will impose any further penalty, in addition to the drive through penalty that he served.

Agreed. I can't see Vettel getting another penalty TBH.

If you click on the video link for the Jenson Interview can somebody tell me what he keeps looking at, was there a bird on a gangway up above displaying her plumage. Watch it you'll get what I mean

Looking up like that is a symptom of 'episodic thinking'.  If you ask someone to recall a series of 'episodes' in their experience, the tendency is for them to look up like that in an attempt to try to recall the 'episodes'.  The alternative is 'semantic thinking' when you are asked to recall a piece of knowledge.  If you ask someone a 'semantic question' they tend to look down to recall from their knowledge base.

For example: "Where were you when...?" is an 'episodic question; "What is the capital of France?" is a 'semantic question'.

The interesting thing is that, when someone is in 'episodic mode' it is much more difficult for them to filter what they are saying defensively.  When they are in 'semantic mode' it is much easier for them to control what they say.  I was trained to use this technique for interviewing people as part of my 'Organisational Behaviour' training.

For example, if you ask someone "How would you deal with a difficult customer?"  they tend to look down to try to remember the 'text-book' answer for dealing with difficult customers (reflection, defusing etc.).  At this point they can filter their thoughts to give their 'best' answer.  If an interviewer can get them into 'episodic mode' using a series of non-intrusive questions, like "Where were you when...?", "What happened when...?" and then asks "When was the last time you dealt with a difficult customer?" with a break of less than 20 seconds after the answer to the previous question and then follows up with questions about what happened, the interviewee will tend to look up, to try to recall the 'episode'.  When they do this, their ability to filter their answer is reduced and they are more likely to give a more honest answer about how they actually deal with difficult customers!  Try it.

Since Jenson was being asked a series of questions about an 'episode', he was looking up to try to recall what had happened during the 'episode'.

I know those techniques Jaz, I used to interview people too, but in Jensons case it was very extreme it went beyond recalling to actually looking like he was looking at something up in the air, maybe a gantry, out of our field of view. I gathered he was recalling an actual event it was just extreme recalling.

Ferrari International Assistance strikes again!  No further sanction to be taken against Ferrari for ruining the racing spectacle at the German GP because, by simply denying that the message was an 'order' (lying to the WMSC) and claiming that "the remark was merely an update intended to keep the Brazilian abreast of the way the race was developing" the allegation 'couldn't be proved'.   >:(

Despite that fact that "the general paddock consensus" and concensus of millions of race fans around the world, "is that it was an implicit instruction to move aside and let the Spaniard through to claim a victory that would significantly enhance his superior world championship prospects".   >:(  >:(  >:(

I hope that Alonso smashes his Ferrari into as many barriers as possible between now and the end of the season and loses all chance of winning either the Drivers' or Manufacturers' Championships for Ferrari on the basis of the Team's cheating.
