Going to give direct line a wee ring. I bought that red one on gumtree  :) went to see it on Sunday and bought it this morning so im well chuffed!!! hopefully ill be able to get insurance for it now  :)

you should be ok. its 2.0i 16V isn't it. its alot of car but direct line should get you a good price. don't think they cover you if you cross the border though. i bet your pleased cause that car looked in really good shape, i'd be pretty pleased too. let me know how you got on with the insurance

Yup its the 2.0L redtop, going to get it on thursday night, can't wait! I rang direct line up yesterday and they won't insure me for any car over group 12, of course my calibra is group 14- typical lol I rang around a load of insurance companies yesterday and none would insure me so im just going to have to have a good look on the internet and if not let it sit for a year.

Its a good solid car, just had a new clutch with 3 lady owners from new so its in pretty good shape. Just needs a really good clean, so hopefully this weekend I'll get it tidied up and get a few pictures up too.

Hows yours going?

I take it it must be an age issue. thats a bit of bad luck but you'll get it sorted. mines coming along nicely, have new brake disc's and pads ordered for it, probably going to put a spoiler on soon too. i'll get some photo's up soon before i do anything to it

welcome along! how long you had the calibra?

I haven't had any luck with my insurance still. im going to wait to get my mini through mot and get it taxed and insured then the calibra is next on the list
