Hi everyone, am new to this forum so apologies if there are already similar threads.
I'm currently in the process of giving my 97, se7 calibra some tlc, she's in a bit of a sorry state at the moment.
I'm in the middle of changing the front wheel bearings i have a pair of 74mm bearings to put in and have discovered that the osf carrier takes a 72mm bearing and the nsf carrier takes a 74mm bearing.
I really can't imagine the car being put together like that at the factory, I'm guessing at some point someone has swapped one of the strut and hub assemblies and have been to a local vauxhall dealer to check which one should be correct and they couldn't find any info other than 2 sizes on the bearing kits.
internet sais its a 74mm assembly but the 72mm assembly that came off looks like the picture in the haynes book of half truths

, with a spline in the top of the strut and the other one has a square to pop a spanner on at the top of the strut.
Does anyone know for sure which is the correct assembly and where to get a suitable replacement??
many thanks in advance
