I have never done this myself but understand that you also need the five stud discs (bigger and use different callipers). At the rear you may need different arms. The advice I saw years ago was to source everything from  a V6 or Turbo but that would not be easy these days. Maybe someone who has done this conversion will cone in on the thread post-Christmas. But I would seriously have a think = is it worth the hassle but it is your decision.

There are a few turbo conversions running four studs without issue. If you search through the posts there is quite a neat Saab B204 turbo conversion,,

i shall  do so  thank you , so far i found just front hubs so that looks like a direct swap , shaft diameter looks right and right number of splines 33 BUT the pcd is NOT always the same...i have found pcd of 5 x100 , 5 x 105 , and 5 x 110 ......so great  care must be taken here
im still hunting for the rear replacement hubs , but no joy sofar .
so another day of looking up part numbers and suspension diagrams and hunting parts suppliers
i once saw a parts catalog here on cc but i cant remember were, one member showed how you can check your part number to order or replace missing parts ......that would be super handly about now ...lol

Hi Caranx… I cannot help you with the 4WD query but I want to help you get answers to your questions. The first thing is to post the queries 4 stud to 5 stud, and 4WD without electronics separately in appropriate areas of the forum. Also give your posts an appropriate heading. When I first saw this one I thought it was the old discussion of the V6 engine vs the LPT 2 litre 4. The answer depends on what you want to use the car for?

If you post in the appropriate section with the appropriate heading someone might think “I know that” and answer. I originally read your thread to see if the were some new arguments in the old engine debate. Me I am old skool and think there is no substitute for cubic inches!   8)
