Yes everyone is welcome but I just wanted to see how many people on CC.com are still active on here, because the member map isn't that accurate and has members on there that haven't logged in for years.

The reason I put this in the East of England area is just so we can see how many members we have active from this area of the region and county/town they are in. It's nothing against other people and not just for details of meets but just to see who we have around.

Of course there would be a local meet thread, but for people that don't respond on the thread can be reminded via a PM. That's how I got most people to the Ipswich meet, not just the thread, but gained interest from inviting members and new members via PM, it's more personal that way.

I don't think that it does any harm to PM people directly, in addition to having a public thread. Some may miss some threads and others may take more notice of a PM than a general thread.

It's useful if the Mods responsible for encouraging/co-ordinating Club National and Regional events can be PM'd about them (in case they miss them).

A meet wouldn't be the same without a visit from Trig so i'm willing to accept that geography is incorrect and that Northampton falls into the Suffolk/Essex/Norfolk/London/Kent area

I just want to see how many we've got and then it makes the members also aware of who is around them if they need help with the car, or parts or advice of local garages/rollingroads/parts stores/independent mechanics.

Hence why we have location under our usernames I just thought it would be good to unite it here.

I'd appreciate if a mod can tidy this thread up and keep it on topic now everything has been answered.

I wonder why you didn't start with the names of the seven people who attended the Ipswich meet - all of whom were, I think, from East Anglia and all of them are obviously 'active' members.

You've now got a list of seven members (excluding Trig), but aren't there some who weren't there last Sunday? If so, there must be others who were there, but are not yet on the list...
