If your adding pedals and a new wheel, for f*cks sake make sure it suits the car, nothing worse than seeing a new wheel, and I'm just sat there thinking WTF has he done!? But then again, unless the car is stripped out I don't like aftermarket wheels lol :P

Your pedals better be Irmscher too boy!!
Was looking at an Isotta steering wheel, pricey though. Momo pedals? :D

ok, i got an omega divider from RobbieV and decided to fit it today. i wasn't too sure what to do but, tbh, it really is pretty straight forward. the first thing to do is to remove the inlet manifold. i'm sure most of you know how to do that so won't go into the details. i also used the opportunity to remove and clean my idle control valve, easy job.

once the inlet manifold is removed you'll expose the upper divider which is held to the lower divider with 6 bolts

before removing the upper divider i removed the 2 lines connected to the fuel rail, this was necessary for getting the upper divider out of the way to get to the lower one. the 6 injectors stayed in place on the upper divider, the whole thing came away in one piece

once the 6 bolts were removed the upper divider and everything attached to it just pulls out of place to expose the lower divider

the lower divider is held in place with 12 bolts. there are actually 4 of these under the gasket so remove that or you'll be wondering why it won't move :D

with the old divider out of the way you'll probably find, like i did, a right mess of dirt and leaves etc. i cleaned it all carefully

with the area cleaned up the new lower divider just slotted into place nicely

the whole process is then reversed. a new inlet manifold gasket went on and Bob's your uncle, just put the manifold back on

i took the car a spin after and it does sound a bit throatier i think but maybe my imagination. also, when i turn on to the main road from our lane and straighten up the car i sink the boot and always reach a certain telephone pole exactly when i hit 60. i done it after the divider went in and i reached it a split second quicker. i know there maybe aren't supposed to be any gains from this but i definitly got to it quicker so i'm happy enough.

Did you count slower Angus?...^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Some really good work there..I know what you mean when you say how satisfying it is to accomplish something like that with limited knowledge and help off here.

Well done again mate..

I always use clean cloths.

I'm scared of ripping the tissue and having it fall down :(

The lower divider will allow air through it quicker. Obvisously there are still restrictions in the whole system but it will free it up a little. I reckon if you get your inlet manifold done too Angus you will notice a difference, albeit a small one.

Good work mate, we're proud of you ;D

Possibly mate. The Cally is 90% certain to be replaced as my main car around November time.

No idea if I will be keeping it after that, will have to see how things go at the time. I have a long list of stuff to fit, all sat in the garage. I can't really justify spending any more on it to be honest, need to get it all done first.

I'll wait until yours is done, see what sort of difference it makes and the cost and see if it's worthwhile. I probably will though, I have a habit of spending money on a car just before selling it :D

Nice one, cheers.

Is powdercoating included in the price? I'd sooner have it without powdercoating and pay less ;D
