My V6
« on: April 06, 2010, 12:20:03 PM »
Right not sure it can actually be called a project but rather than start new threads everytime i do something to it or need help i thought i'd keep it all in one thread like alot of people have. Its a 1996 V6 in Olive Grey. At the moment its pretty standard although i have fitted 17" Kei Tachi alloys, a piper cross panel filter and metal Vectra cam covers. future mods will include a stainless steel cat back exhaust system and possibly a sports cat at some point, enlarged throttle body(thanks CaptainChaos), 3.8 bar fuel pressure regulator, Omega lower divider(thanks Robbie), reworked inlet manifold, replacing the T.C. motor with an enlarged blank, fitting new cams, Irmscher boot spoiler, tinted rear windows, lowered 40mm on G-max springs/shocks and possibly a subtle body kit but not sure

Here are a few photo's of her this morning. i washed, polished and waxed it yesterday and the horrible rain actually looks nice beaded on the paint work

And my famous interior light :D

I know its all very boring at the minute and sorry about all the photo's but hopefully alot of progress will be made and i'll keep this updated. thanks for all the advice up until now and i'm sure i'll be irritating you all again very soon ;)

Looking good. You can always tell a looked after car in the rain, some look dry almost where the rain just doesn't bead up.

With regards to the gaitor, I found a big improvemnt in looks by changing to one from a Vectra B. They sit lower instead of having the huge walls around the edge of the gaitor if u get me?

thanks everyone ;D. don't know if i should say this or not but after i took that photo i forgot to put the light off and couldn't figure out why the car was beeping 3 times when i locked it instead of the usual once :D. as for the gaitor, i have my eye on a nice steering wheel and gear knob so i'll change the gaitor then and get some new pedals in as well

Looking good.

Some HID's clear lenses and colour-coded handles would set it off nicely :)

They weren't in the pics and you didn't mention them, so you kinda have to let me off!!

Get some clear lenses. You don't want Angel Eyes Angus. Do as you're told!!!

I was responding to Moomin.

I wasn't paying any attention to your car in the thread :D

JB was selling some, not sure if he still has any.

If your adding pedals and a new wheel, for fucks sake make sure it suits the car, nothing worse than seeing a new wheel, and I'm just sat there thinking WTF has he done!? But then again, unless the car is stripped out I don't like aftermarket wheels lol :P

Your pedals better be Irmscher too boy!!
